SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Bay Area Rapid Transit District officials said "the end of an era" is happening on November 30, when paper tickets will no longer be accepted as payment from riders.Paper tickets are disappearing and Clipper cards are taking over the transit system. "This change is occurring as BART begins to roll out new state of the art fare gates, which will not accept paper tickets," BART officials wrote. "The slot for paper tickets will be covered up."New fare gates are being installed in BART's 50 stations as part of its "Safe And Clean" Plan with hopes to attracting more riders. At 1-6, the Panthers are expected to listen to all offers ahead of the trade deadline

Published Sat, 22 Feb 2025 13:37:39 GMT

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers have their first victory of the season. But that isn’t expected to deter general manager Scott Fitterer from exploring potential trades before Tuesday’s deadline. That’s not anything particularly new for Fitterer, who prides himself on “being in on every deal.”Being 1-6 approaching the midway point of the season certainly puts the Panthers in the position of being sellers, giving their desire to restock their draft shelves after giving up four picks to the Chicago Bears last year to move up to No. 1 to select Young. That trade left the Panthers without a 2024 first-round pick and a 2025 second-round pick. Carolina still has its own second-, third- and fourth round picks next year, along with picks in the fourth, fifth and sixth rounds from other teams.Panthers coach Frank Reich said Monday he planned to meet with Fitterer to discuss any trades that might be in the works.“I’ve learned in these situations to trust the GM...

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh coach Pat Narduzzi believes he should be judged by his nine years of work with the Panthers, not a brief soundbite following a blowout loss to Notre Dame in which he openly questioned the talent of his roster.Narduzzi came under fire both internally and externally for a comment he made following the 58-7 setback to the then-No. 14 Irish that added another difficult moment to the worst season of his largely successful tenure.“I’ll go back, as a football coach you lose a lot of good players from a year ago and you think as a coach you’re going to replace them and obviously we haven’t,” Narduzzi said Saturday. “Again, it starts with me. I didn’t do a good enough job coaching today. Put it on me and we’ve got to make plays.”The Panthers went 9-4 in 2022, winning the Sun Bowl.
